Today the temperature was in the 60's so we went for a hike. As we got there the wind picked up and the temp dropped. But we bundled up and foraged on with our picnic lunch. The kids learned the difference between pines and firs. Cora was fascinated with the rocks that had sparkly mica and pink lichen. Emmett said she should ask for a sparkly pink rock on her next birthday. We heard chickadees, saw a frozen waterfall and horseback riders.
