Mother's Day Tea
Today was a day "no sleep day". After working last night I crawled (I'm not kidding) out of bed after 3 hours of sleep to go to the Preschool for Mother's Day Tea. As excruciating as it was to get up, it was so worth it. The kids greeted us at the door with paper flower corsages, put on a mini-recital of their favorite songs, and Mrs. Bonnema read us quotes from each child about why they love their mother (Emmett said "because she lets me play with all of my toys." Hmmm... must strive to be more interesting). Then they all served us homemade cookies and mints, strawberries and punch. And to top it off we got a handmade gift !! What a great tea. Watching Emmett acting so adult-like made me realize just how much he has matured this year. Maybe it was that or the lack of sleep but I was teary throughout the whole program.

Don't worry about 'more interesting' Rebecca--Taylor's reasoning about that exact same question was "She lets me eat cheese crackers for snack". Top that one! hahaha Apparently I must strive to be WAY more interesting and far less controlling!
